Floating Blue mug 08

£36.00

A wheel-thrown mug in black clay with a floating blue glaze. Fingerprints can be seen on the rim where I’ve double dipped the glazes to make the blue, which I love! Slightly larger than the other mugs in the collection.

The floating blue glaze was the first recipe I worked on, taking me 2-3 years to tweak so that I was happy with it! Floating blues really pop on the darker clay body, and I have a technique which encourages a splashy, organic colour pattern. Every one is different.

9.5cm x diameter 11cm

500ml / 18 fl.oz

Dishwasher and microwave safe, but hand wash if possible

I’m quite enjoying this overcast, cool-but-warm weather. At the moment we’ll have warm sunshine, autumn grey and a bit of rain all in one day. I get to wear a long skirt and a jumper in the sun ☀️

I don’t mean to toot my own horn here, but some of these blue mugs are super nice. So good that I even kept one for me 😅
